Starting September 1st, Almaty will boost public transportation services with approximately 500 additional buses deployed across routes and metro train frequency increased from 11 to 13 trains. A total of 300 school buses will be mobilized to transport over 13,000 schoolchildren. From September 1st to 5th, some city administration staff will transition to remote work, while major companies are encouraged to consider flexible work arrangements or staggered start times. Additional road safety measures will also be implemented at schools and nearby thoroughfares.
