The third Almaty BirdFest will take place in the scenic Ili River valley, below the Kapshagay Reservoir. The program includes early morning birdwatching sessions, nocturnal expeditions to observe twilight wildlife, botanical tours, popular science lectures with expert speakers, master classes led by zoologists and wildlife photographers, and competitive birding events. The festival welcomes both experienced birders and beginners. Organized by the Kazakhstan Association for Biodiversity Conservation with support from BirdLife International, Tabigat Media, and the Sunkar falcon breeding center.
