Altyn Emel National Park is one of Kazakhstan's largest protected nature reserves, spanning over 4,600 km² in Almaty Region, 250 km from the city of Almaty. The park showcases remarkably diverse landscapes: vast sand dunes, the Aktau and Katutau mountain ranges, saxaul forests, and pristine steppe terrain.
