Altyn Emel National Park is a unique natural complex in Almaty Region, renowned for its striking Aktau and Katutau mountain ranges. Katutau Mountain consists of ancient volcanic formations dating back approximately 250 million years, featuring petrified lava flows and distinctive reddish-brown rock formations. The Aktau Mountains are located in the southeastern part of the park and offer excellent opportunities for hiking. Within the park's territory, you can also discover the famous Singing Dune, mineral thermal springs, and the rare Przewalski's horse.
