On September 19-20, Almaty celebrates City Day with an expansive program featuring over 300 events across the city. The main activities take place at Abay and Astana squares, along Panfilov and Zhibek Zholy streets, and at the Alatau Theatre. The schedule includes free concerts, festivals (Otbasy Fest at Abay Square, Kitap Fest on the Arbat), performances by Kazakhstani artists, traditional games, sports competitions, a gastronomic festival, an artisans' market, and family-friendly entertainment.
