Altyn Emel National Park is situated in south-eastern Kazakhstan in the valley of the Ili River. The park preserves unique landscapes including sand dunes, mountain ranges, saxaul forests and steppe. It is renowned for its rich fauna featuring rare animal species such as kulans, argali sheep and jeirans. The territory is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The tour route includes visits to Aktau and Katutau mountains.
