This exhibition brings together works from Marc Chagall's Russian period, when the artist created his unique poetic world, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere of Vitebsk. The collection features paintings and graphic works accompanied by excerpts from his autobiography 'My Life', rare drawings from the war years, and illustrations for fairy tales and books. The exhibition includes a special reconstruction of the Jewish Chamber Theatre space, complete with murals created in 1920, and an installation that captures the essence of Chagall's Vitebsk home.
