This opera, composed by Serikzhan and Alibi Abdínurov with a libretto by Tleugazа Beisembek, draws inspiration from Gabit Musrepov's drama. The narrative interweaves two compelling threads: the personal tragedy of a captive Kypchak maiden who becomes the muse of a legendary Eastern poet, and the epic destiny of an entire people. The production conveys a profound message—that only love has the power to break the cycle of violence and warfare. Performed in Kazakh with simultaneous subtitles in Russian and English.
