🚗 Route on 2GIS

The building is instantly recognizable from a distance—a flat dome-shaped "saucer" that stands out as one of Astana's most distinctive silhouettes. Inside is a classical arena accommodating 2,000 spectators, with a 13-meter diameter performance ring and 36 VIP seats. The venue's transformable structure allows it to function as an ice skating rink, hosting both ice shows and traditional circus performances on the same arena. The ticket office is typically open on weekends when performances take place.

History

Construction began in 2001 according to the master plan for developing the new capital, with funding officially launching on January 1, 2005. The grand opening, attended by President Nazarbayev, took place on December 14, 2005. The circus operates as a state institution (GKKP "Stolichniy Circus") and maintains one of the highest visitor ratings among the city's attractions.
