Ten comfortable bell tents overlook the Zailiysky Alatau mountains. Each tent is equipped with heated flooring, a heater, a private en-suite bathroom with shower, and a panoramic terrace, along with dishes for four and a kettle. This is mountain accommodation done comfortably—no hiking required and no traditional camping. The glamping site is located in the village of Beskaynar, Talgar District, about 30 kilometers from Almaty, in the same area as the Oi-Qaragai resort.
The glamping site itself doesn't have a long history, but the place where it stands does. The village of Beskaynar was known as "Gorny Sadovod" (Mountain Gardener) until the 1990s. It was named after a major Soviet state farm that specialized in apple orchards, where the legendary Almaty Aport apples were grown. According to local residents, the aroma of ripening apples once filled the entire surrounding area. In the 1990s, the processing plant closed and many orchards fell into decline. Today, the orchards are gradually being restored, and the district is increasingly turning to tourism as its economic foundation: glamping sites, guest lodges, and a nearby ski resort have become new sources of livelihood for the village. Once sustained by apples, the area now thrives on visitors from the city.
